Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team: The AI Solutions & Integration team is responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying practical AI solutions that enhance business workflows across S&P Dow Jones Indices. The team brings together technical expertise, experimentation, and strong delivery discipline to turn emerging AI capabilities into reliable, production-ready tools. We value curiosity, collaboration, quality, and the responsible application of AI to solve real business challenges.
This role helps accelerate the adoption of AI across SPDJI by building solutions that improve data workflows, increase operational efficiency, and support better decision-making. By integrating AI capabilities into existing systems and processes, you will contribute to tools that strengthen the speed, reliability, and scalability of services used to support our clients and markets. The position matters because it helps transform AI concepts into working solutions that create measurable business value.
You will gain hands‑on experience building and deploying production-ready AI applications, including LLM integrations, prompt workflows, and AI-enabled data solutions. You will work closely with senior AI experts, data teams, and business stakeholders, giving you exposure to cross‑functional initiatives across a global financial information leader. You will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in emerging AI technologies while contributing to practical solutions that directly support business transformation. You will help shape reusable patterns, documentation, and best practices that support broader AI adoption across S&P Dow Jones Indices.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 2‑4 years of experience in software development, data science, AI/ML, or data engineering. Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code for data processing, application logic, and analytics workflows. Foundational understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, AI/ML concepts, and at least one relevant framework or library such as scikit‑learn, Hugging Face, or LangChain. Experience working with APIs, integrating data from multiple sources, using version control tools such as Git, and applying basic testing or software development lifecycle practices. You are intellectually curious and motivated to learn new AI technologies, experiment with emerging tools, and apply new knowledge to practical business problems. You are collaborative and comfortable working with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior colleagues while seeking feedback and contributing to shared goals. You bring a quality mindset, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to well‑documented, tested, and reliable work. You communicate clearly and can translate hands‑on technical learnings into useful documentation, examples, and knowledge‑sharing materials for others.
