Job summary

Edhaa Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an R&D Engineer / Sr. R&D Engineer with hands-on expertise in automotive electronics, EV and power electronics for product development and hardware R&D. The role demands design, validation and collaboration across engineering teams in Pune.

You will work on HV power electronics, CAN/LIN interfaces and rigorous safety standards, contributing to prototypes and end-to-end hardware validation in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in automotive electronics, EV and power electronics.
• Ability to design and develop analog/digital/embedded circuits.
• Knowledge of HV systems, EMI/EMC and thermal management.
• Proficient in CAN/LIN/SPI automotive interfaces.
• Experience with Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, digital, embedded and power electronic circuits for automotive/EV.
• Design DC-DC converters, inverters, OBCs and high-voltage power electronics systems.
• Select and evaluate MOSFETs, IGBTs, MCUs, gate drivers, sensors and passive components.
• Develop automotive interfaces using CAN, LIN, SPI and ICs.
• Create schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.
• Prototype, bring-up, test, debug and root-cause analysis of hardware.
• Plan hardware validation, EMI/EMC testing and thermal profiling.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 and Functional Safety/ASIL.
• Coordinate with embedded software, system, manufacturing and suppliers.
• Support ICT, FCT and EOL testing; awareness of IQA, PPAP, DFMEA.

Job Description

We are looking for an R&D Engineer / Sr. R&D Engineer with hands-on experience in Automotive Electronics, EV and Power Electronics for product development and hardware R&D.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop analog, digital, embedded and power electronic circuits for automotive and EV applications.
• Design and develop DC-DC converters, inverters, OBCs and high-voltage power electronics systems.
• Select and evaluate automotive-grade MOSFETs, IGBTs, microcontrollers, gate drivers, sensors, capacitors, inductors and magnetic components.
• Develop automotive communication interfaces using CAN, LIN, SPI and IC.
• Create and review schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer, considering EMI/EMC, thermal management, creepage, clearance and high-current requirements.
• Build prototypes and perform PCB bring-up, hardware testing, debugging, fault diagnosis and root-cause analysis.
• Plan and execute hardware validation, EMI/EMC testing, thermal profiling, electrical characterization and HIL testing.
• Ensure compliance with automotive quality, safety, ISO 26262 and Functional Safety/ASIL requirements.
• Coordinate with embedded software, system engineering, manufacturing, testing, suppliers and automotive OEM teams.
• Support manufacturing activities including ICT, FCT and EOL machine validation/testing.
• Should have awareness of IQA, PPAP, DFMEA and manufacturing processes.

Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Electronics R&D, Automotive Electronics, EV or Power Electronics.
• Experience in EV/HEV, high-voltage architectures, powertrain electronics and automotive Functional Safety will be preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in hardware design, PCB development, testing and debugging.
• Experience with Altium Designer is preferred.
• Good understanding of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, SPI and IC.
