The Search House in Bengaluru seeks an Application Engineer – R&D (Power Electronics Domain) with 2-3 years' experience to support design, testing, validation and deployment of power electronics solutions across EV chargers, inverters, DC–DC/AC–DC converters and solar charging systems.

Candidates should hold BE/BTech or ME/MTech in ECE, have hands-on exposure to power electronics, and be able to work cross-functionally with R&D and sales teams.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics & Communication (ECE) with 60%+ across academics.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in power electronics.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and implement power electronics components and modules.
• Support circuit design, schematic review, and PCB validation with simulations.
• Conduct lab testing for power conversion efficiency, thermal performance, switching characteristics, and EMI/EMC compliance.
• Coordinate with R&D, design and sales for product demonstrations and documentation.

Application Engineers – R&D (Power Electronics Domain)

Location: Bengaluru Qualification: BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics & Communication (ECE) Experience: 2 - 3 Years Salary: 3 - 5 LPA

Role Overview: The Application Engineer will collaborate with R&D and technical sales teams to support the design, testing, validation, and deployment of power electronics solutions across EV chargers, EV inverters, DC–DC converters, AC–DC converters, and solar charging systems. This role bridges core design engineering and customer application support to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of power conversion systems.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Application Support

• Evaluate and implement power electronics components and modules
• Support integration of DC–DC converters, AC–DC converters, EV chargers, EV inverters, and solar charge controllers
• Provide technical clarifications and recommend suitable solutions

2. Design & Development Support

• Assist in circuit design, schematic review, and PCB validation
• Perform simulations using MATLAB/Simulink, PSpice, LTSpice, and PSIM
• Conduct component selection and performance benchmarking
• Support prototype development and testing

3. Testing & Validation

• Conduct lab testing for power conversion efficiency, thermal performance, switching characteristics, and EMI/EMC compliance
• Troubleshoot hardware issues during validation
• Document test results and technical observations

4. Cross-Functional & Customer Coordination

• Work closely with R&D, design, and sales teams
• Support technical presentations and product demonstrations
• Prepare application notes and technical documentation

5. Documentation

• Develop application notes, design guides, technical reports, and validation reports
• Maintain structured technical records

Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification: BE/BTech or ME/MTech in Electronics & Communication (ECE)
• Academic Record: 60% and above throughout
• Year of Passing: 2023 / 2024 / 2025

Required Skill Set

• Strong fundamentals in Power Electronics
• Hands-on exposure to DC–DC converters, AC–DC converters, EV chargers, EV inverters, and solar charging systems
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and technical presentation abilities
