UBS in Hyderabad, India is seeking an Equity Research Associate to join the London-based European Small and Mid-Cap team. You will transform market data into insights, build financial models, and prepare investment ideas with rigorous valuation work.

You will collaborate with sell-side analysts, support research output, and create client-ready materials while upholding quality and compliance standards. You will also manage databases and dashboards, assist in initiation notes and earnings

Formación

• Strong finance, accounting and capital markets knowledge.
• Experience in financial modelling and equity valuation techniques.
• Excellent written and spoken English with ability to articulate investment views.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate with London-based analysts to deliver equity research on European SMid-Cap firms.
• Provide end-to-end research support including sector coverage and company analysis.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and perform valuations.
• Prepare initiation notes, earnings updates, thematic reports, and ad-hoc research publications.
• Support analysts in responding to client requests promptly.
• Assist in creating and maintaining research databases, sector trackers and dashboards.
• Develop marketing and client presentation materials aligned with research outputs.
• Ensure adherence to internal quality standards, timelines and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Are you an expert in assessing value and market trends? Do you have a knack for transforming large data sets into comprehensive reports? Are you good at storytelling based on market insights? We are hiring equity research associates who can :

• work closely with London-based sell-side analysts to deliver high-quality equity research on European Small and Mid-Cap companies


• Provide end-to-end research support, including sector coverage, company analysis, and generation of investment ideas


• build and maintain detailed financial models, perform valuations, and conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis


• prepare and contribute to initiation notes, earnings updates, thematic reports, and ad-hoc research publications


• support analysts in responding to internal and external client requests in a timely and professional manner


• assist in the creation and maintenance of research databases, sector trackers, and financial dashboards


• develop marketing and client presentation materials in line with research outputs


• ensure adherence to internal quality standards, timelines, and compliance requirements

You’ll be working in Hyderabad, India, and collaborating with Metal/Mining research team based in London to perform equity research and analysis of publicly traded companies

Your Skills And Experience

• strong understanding of finance, accounting, and capital markets


• proven experience in financial modelling and equity valuation techniques


• excellent written and spoken English with the ability to articulate investment views clearly


• strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail


• effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across geographies


• proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word


• exposure to market data platforms such as Bloomberg or equivalent is preferred


• any post graduate from a reputed institute in commerce/economics/business administration streams. MBA (finance), C.A., CFA (US)


• candidate must have 1-5 years of relevant experience


• this opening is for Hyderabad location.


• prior experience covering European equities (any sector) is desirable
