Job summary

UBS in Pune seeks a Data Services Analyst to ensure accuracy and integrity of security, pricing, analytics and valuation data. You will validate, enrich and reconcile data across global teams, supporting asset management operations with strong SQL, Excel and ETL skills.

The role involves interacting with portfolio managers, risk teams and IT, performing root cause analysis and driving process improvements. You will work with Bloomberg, Bloomberg PORT and Power BI to deliver reliable benchmarks

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting data operations in asset management or financial services.
• Solid understanding of benchmarks, indices, financial instruments and asset classes.
• Strong technical skills across Excel, VBA, SQL and ETL tools; experience with market data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily and periodic data management processes with data quality controls and reporting.

We're looking for a Data Services Analyst to join our Asset Management Chief Data Office. ensure the accuracy, completeness and integrity of security, pricing, analytics, valuation, index and benchmark data through ongoing validation and maintenance activities

• execute daily and periodic data management processes, including data enrichment, reconciliations, quality controls and reporting, while consistently meeting established service level agreements
• analyze large and complex datasets to identify data quality issues, perform root cause analysis and implement both tactical resolutions and strategic improvements
• investigate and respond to data-related queries from portfolio managers, risk teams and other stakeholders, providing clear analysis and timely resolution
• maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring adherence to established data governance, control and regulatory standards
• partner with business and technology teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, improved controls and enhanced data workflows
• support user acceptance testing (UAT), production releases and system enhancements, collaborating closely with IT teams and external vendors to address data-related challenges
• leverage platforms and tools such as Bloomberg, Bloomberg PORT, SQL, VBA, Power BI, ETL tools and Unix-based applications to support Asset Management data operations

The team

You will be working in the Data Services team within Asset Management Chief Data Office aligned to traditional operations. You will be supporting the day-to-day processes carried out by the Data Services team, which would include providing timely, accurate and complete benchmark, index, and analytics data to the UBS Asset Management Division – in line with defined requirements.

Team provides 24*6 coverage to ensure uninterrupted support and assistance to the Asset Management Division. Team members are in Chicago, Zurich, Krakow, Singapore, and Pune.

Your Skills And Experience

• a university degree in Business Management, Finance, Information Technology or a related discipline, with experience supporting data operations within the asset management or financial services industry with atleast 5yrs of experience
• solid understanding of benchmarks, indices, financial instruments and asset classes, combined with experience in data quality management, reconciliations, root cause analysis and issue resolution
• strong technical skills across Excel, VBA, SQL and ETL tools such as Alteryx, with exposure to market data platforms including Bloomberg, ICE and Refinitiv
• effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain both technical and non-technical topics clearly to a wide range of audiences
• working knowledge of automation and reporting tools such as Python, Shell scripting, Power BI, Power Automate or similar technologies would be an advantage
• you’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment - validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards and ethical use
