Job summary

iRageCapital in Mumbai is seeking a Research & Insights professional to conduct deep fundamental research on assigned sectors, build financial models, and craft valuation-driven insights for institutional clients.

You will engage with company management, collaborate with sales and trading teams, and present findings in client meetings, conferences, and written reports. Strong communication and Indian market knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Tier 1 brokerage or equity research is a strong advantage.
• Ability to conduct in-depth financial analysis of companies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to articulate investment recommendations clearly.
• Strong relationships with management teams, clients, and internal teams.
• Deep understanding of Indian equities markets and regulatory environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Economics; MBA or CFA preferred.

Research & Insights Development:

• Conduct thorough fundamental research on assigned sector(s), covering financial statement analysis, industry dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Leverage exhaustive secondary research across subscribed databases, public internet, social media, and primary research channels to generate well-supported, viewpoint-led insights.
• Develop and maintain financial models to forecast company performance and derive valuation targets for institutional clients.
• Craft strategic insights reports with a strong storyline — delivering crisp, clear investment recommendations backed by rigorous analysis.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory developments, assessing their impact on covered companies and delivering proactive analysis to clients.

Client Management

• Serve as a trusted market intelligence and research expert for MNCs, Global Enterprises, and institutional clients.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of client business context, priorities, and investment objectives.
• Engage with company management teams to gather information and surface deeper business insights for clients.
• Collaborate with sales and trading teams to disseminate research and provide timely market commentary.
• Participate in client meetings and conferences, presenting findings and recommendations to support investment decisions.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Prior experience in Tier 1 brokerage firms, investment banks, or equity research houses is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth fundamental research and financial analysis of companies.
• Proven ability to build and maintain complex financial models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate investment recommendations clearly and persuasively.
