Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with enterprise applications or system-driven processes
• Basic understanding of business processes and data flows
• Experience supporting application changes, testing, defect analysis, and technical issue resolution
• Ability to collaborate with business and technical teams
• Good working knowledge of SQL or data analysis for validation, troubleshooting, and solutioning
• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and system interfaces
• Experience with delivery and support tools such as Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, or similar platforms
• Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., JavaScript, PowerShell or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (e.g., Azure DevOps)
• Strong skills in functional design, process analysis, troubleshooting, and translating agreed requirements into workable solutions
• Experience with regulatory, product data, or content management systems
• Exposure to tools such as Sphera IA / Productivity Suite or similar platforms
• Experience configuring workflows, business rules, or structured data objects
• Exposure to enterprise system upgrades or migrations
• Experience with modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN, UML, ERD, ArchiMate)
• Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field
• Experience coordinating technical support, vendor follow-up, application upgrades, or issue resolution across multiple teams

• Performs incident management, root cause analysis, and swift problem resolution
• Coordinates technical follow-up with IT teams, vendors, and support partners and documents actions

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• The Functional Engineer translates agreed requirements into clear, detailed designs and high-quality change specifications, and actively follows up on implementation, technical dependencies, issue resolution, and validation.
• They ensure all standards are followed and solutions are stable, sustainable, and compliant with architectural and security principles.
• The Engineer is responsible for testing and validation, including developing test scripts, analyzing defects, coordinating technical and business sign-off, and ensuring timely and proper validation of changes and releases.
• They perform incident management by analyzing issues, conducting root cause analysis, deploying fixes, and ensuring swift resolution of problems. Additionally, the Engineer supports process improvement and project delivery by monitoring performance, collaborating with architects, and managing specific project deliverables for efficient execution.
• The Engineer also coordinates technical follow-up with internal IT teams, vendors, and support partners to ensure issues are properly analyzed, assigned, resolved, and documented.
