Job Description: Requirements Engineer, Data & AI Products – Prior product management experience in a healthcare technology company, health system, payer, laboratory, or services organization that handles sensitive healthcare data. Experience with healthcare data products including data lakes, extraction, and conversion of healthcare data and their underlying technologies.
Working Hours: 2 PM to 11 PM (IST)
- BASE (first 6–12 months): Stabilize execution and increase delivery velocity by tightening requirements, release quality, and improving the product development lifecycle.
- GROWTH (year 1+): Expand Oasis capabilities and reduce manual work across migrations and archives, with deeper support for major source systems such as Epic, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH.
- FUTURE (long-term): Build Oasis into a durable data foundation that makes historical data easier to find, validate, and reuse for analytics and future artificial intelligence use cases.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of experience.
- Own the Oasis backlog and weekly priorities across clinical archive, financial archive, and legacy system decommissioning initiatives.
- Run the full product development cycle: discovery, requirements, prioritization, sprint planning, release, and follow-through.
- Translate customer and delivery needs into clear product requirements and acceptance criteria that engineering can build without guesswork.
- Lead weekly planning with engineering: break work into deliverable increments, manage scope, remove blockers, and keep commitments realistic.
- Manage day-to-day team performance: set goals, coach product managers and analysts, and build a culture of high-quality execution.
- Own requirements for extracting data from legacy electronic medical record systems, including Epic, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH, covering both structured and unstructured content.
- Guide development of migration tooling that supports discrete data delivery for import into a new electronic health record when required, while also supporting complete historical archiving.
- Proficiency in creating and executing strategic roadmaps including unit economics and financial impact.
- Establish standards for data translation and normalization so legacy data is usable across clinical care, financial operations, reporting, compliance, and release of information workflows.
- Hands‑on product management including roadmap development, execution, and defining financial targets, and real delivery ownership (shipping product, not just planning).
- Strong understanding of healthcare data handling, including legacy system retirement, record retention, and secure access to historical data.
- Practice ownership of data extraction, data migration, and data translation work, including mapping, testing, and validation.
- Work directly with engineering teams in an active development cycle, including sprint planning and release management.
- Coaching and managing a small team while coordinating across product, engineering, delivery, and support.
- Working knowledge of major electronic medical record systems such as Epic, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH, and the realities of moving data out of them and continuity of care during system transitions.
