Job summary

Hitachi Energy in India seeks an experienced Engineer – Plant Maintenance & IE to oversee capex project execution, site management, equipment installations, and plant upgrades. Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in project engineering, with a focus on capex/project management.
• Strong CAD design skills (2D/3D) for plant layouts and machinery design; MS Project knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute strategic capex projects, including site management, new equipment installation, upgrades, and process optimization.
• Follow comprehensive project plans with scope, timeline, resources, and cost estimations.
• Facilitate cross-functional project meetings and present updates to stakeholders.
• Track budgets, expenditures, and implement cost-control strategies.

Engineer – Plant Maintenance & IE

Engineer is an engineering profession that is concerned with the supervision of capex projects execution including Real estate site management, equipment erection and commissioning& maintenance. The role demands of expertise in project management, technical design, and execution. The ideal candidate will manage the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual sign through commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The role will also involve creating detailed 2D/3D layouts of plant modifications, machinery installations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute strategic capex projects, including RE site management, new equipment installation, upgrades, and process optimizations, in line with organization’s goals.
• Follow comprehensive project plans, including scope, timeline, resources allocation, and cost estimations, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
• Facilitate cross-functional project meetings and present project updates with close coordination.
• Tracking project budgets, monitor expenditures, and implement cost-control strategies to ensure financial compliance and project profitability.
• Plan and ensure 100% adherence to HSE management with zero deviation. Preparation of HSE documentation, contract personal training and certification.
• Prepare detailed technical specifications, engineering drawings, and plant layouts using 2D/3D CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
• Create optimized plant layouts for machinery and equipment installations, ensuring space efficiency and compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Provide technical oversight during installation, commissioning, and start-up phases, ensuring alignment with engineering principles and project objectives.
• Engage with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for project execution, including equipment sourcing, design validation, and site management.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance plant productivity, efficiency, and safety.
• Develop and implement new engineering standards and procedures to ensure consistent and high-quality project outcomes.

• Plant maintenance KPI of availability, OEE& spares cost budgeting with optimization.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering.
• Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of professional experience in project engineering, with a focus on capital project management, industrial engineering or any related field.
• Technical Proficiency:
  • Strong expertise in 2D/3D CAD design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for plant layouts and machinery design.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project).
