Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Vadodara, India seeks a Maintenance supervisor for transformers manufacturing. You will oversee maintenance of production lines, manage equipment docs, and drive reliability with strong collaboration across teams.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience in plant maintenance, a degree in Electrical engineering, and fluency in English. The role requires multi-shift adaptability and a focus on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in Electrical engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience maintaining plant machinery in transformers manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, EOT cranes, Drying ovens, winding machines.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee breakdown, preventive and planned maintenance of transformer manufacturing equipment.
• Manage and update technical documentation; resolve major equipment issues to improve performance.
• Maintain tools and repair equipment; optimize energy use.
• Propose improvement projects to reduce maintenance activities.
• Respond to emergencies to minimize production disruption.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental guidelines.
• Knowledge of electrical drawings and operation (Power & control circuits).
• Monitor KPIs like Machine Availability, OEE, MTTR/MTBR and energy management.
• Adhere to Hitachi Energy core values of safety and integrity.
• Involve production engineering in tooling, machinery specs and CAPEX budgeting.

Mission Statement:

• A Team Member who works within team of professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some semi-skilled employees and contractors.
• Industrial engineering expertise in tooling, machinery and RE infrastructure& CAPEX budgeting.
• Monitoring progress and performance against the Maintenance plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to achieve Maintenance KPIs.
• Team strengthening with capacity enhancement & cater production demand in all three shifts
• Collaborating with the production team to define maintenance plans of equipment for preventive and planned maintenance and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment

Your Responsibilities:

• Overseeing execution of Breakdown Maintenance, Preventive maintenance and Planned maintenance of equipment of transformers manufacturing production lines.
• Managing and updating technical documentation of equipment. Solving major technical, equipment issues in order to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
• Maintaining tools and repairing equipment for a good working order. Optimizing operational and energy in a sufficient manner.
• Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance.
• Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
• Implementing health, safety and environment guidelines and directives to ensure the safety of people and resources.
• Knowledge about electrical equipment drawings and their operation (Power & control circuit)
• KPI – Machine availability, OEE, MTTR & MTBR, Energy management

Your Background

• Diploma /Degree in Electrical engineering .

• Familiarity with Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems, vacuum pumps, EOT cranes, Drying ovens, Winding machines .
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
