Job summary

Responsible Us in New Delhi, India, is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Specialist to support research, policy development, stakeholder engagement, and the implementation of clean energy initiatives at local, state, and national levels.

Key duties include conducting research and policy analysis on renewable energy and climate change, developing and implementing clean energy strategies, and coordinating with government bodies, NGOs, industry leaders, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience in renewable energy or related policy fields.
• Experience with NGOs, non-profits, or sustainability-focused institutions preferred.
• Strong research, analytical, report-writing, and communication skills.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement, policy advocacy, and project coordination.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.
• Willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research, policy analysis, and technical assessments related to renewable energy and climate change.
• Support the development and implementation of clean energy strategies and projects.
• Collaborate with government departments, NGOs, grassroots organizations, industry leaders, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare policy briefs, research reports, technical documents, and presentations.
• Monitor renewable energy policies, market developments, and emerging clean energy technologies.
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings, roundtables, consultations, and project activities.
• Contribute to initiatives related to energy access, energy efficiency, green hydrogen, climate resilience, and sustainable development.
• Support project management, partner coordination, and technical assistance activities.
