Job summary

ICF is a global advisory and technology services provider supporting state energy departments in India. We are seeking a Renewable Energy Engineer to assist the Department of Energy, Government of Chhattisgarh/Tripura in monitoring and implementing key programs including PMSGMBY and PM-KUSUM.

Location: Raipur or Agartala; 12-month fixed-term deployment. You will coordinate with CSPDCL and CREDA, analyse progress data, prepare presentations and reports, and support training for officials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of renewable energy experience in India.
• Experience with state utilities or government schemes is a plus.

Job description

We are looking for a **Renewable Energy Engineer** to support the Department of Energy, Government of Chhattisgarh/Tripura in monitoring and implementing key renewable energy programs, including **PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana (PMSGMBY)** and **PM\-KUSUM**.

**Location:** Raipur, Chhattisgarh/Agartala, Tripura (Full\-time deployment with Department of Energy, Government of Chhattisgarh)

**Assignment Duration:** 12 Months(Contingent upon Winning the bid)

**Engagement Type:** Consultant / Fixed\-Term Project Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Support monitoring and implementation of renewable energy projects and government schemes.
• Work closely with the Department of Energy, CSPDCL, and CREDA.
• Assist in project tracking, reporting, stakeholder coordination, and data analysis.
• Support training and capacity\-building initiatives for government officials.
• Prepare presentations, reports, and project updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Master's degree in Engineering, MBA, or related field preferred.

Experience

• Minimum **2 years of experience** in the renewable energy sector in India.
• Experience supporting at least **one renewable energy project** with a state utility, government department, or renewable energy agency.
• Exposure to project monitoring, implementation, or advisory assignments.

• Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
