Are you passionate about solving challenging chemistry problems?

Turing is seeking PhD-level researchers in Chemistry to evaluate the reasoning capabilities of large language models (LLMs). Your role will involve creating chemistry problems, analyzing model responses, and identifying logical or conceptual gaps. The aim is to assess how effectively these models handle abstract thinking and structured problem-solving.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Designing chemistry problems such as equilibrium calculations for high-temperature gasifier outputs.
• Developing reactor models to estimate maximum temperature in gas-phase reactions within a plug flow reactor.
• Reviewing AI solutions and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in or having completed a Ph.D. or Postdoctoral work in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields.
• Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with stable internet and computer access.

Note: Only candidates with a Ph.D. or current enrollment will be considered.

Time commitment & contract details:

• Minimum 4 hours/day, 20 hours/week with 4-hour overlap with PST.
• Contract duration: 1 month, starting next week.
• Options for 20, 30, or 40 hours/week.
