Job summary

Cyient Semiconductors in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Reliability Engineer capable of travel to Taiwan. The role collaborates with Product and Test engineers to validate QTP items, generate QTRs for NPIs, and meet tight project deadlines.

The candidate will have hands-on reliability testing experience for analog power ICs, knowledge of JEDEC/AEC standards, and strong communication for cross-functional teams. Travel readiness is required.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of work experience in analog/power IC companies
• Good knowledge in Reliability Assurance testing for analog power semiconductor ICs
• Basic knowledge of JEDEC and AEC standards for Reliability Qualification
• General understanding of other QRA disciplines in failure analysis and quality systems is an advantage
• Good communication, interpersonal and team skills

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Product/Test Engineers to complete Qualification Test Plan items and prepare Qualification Test Results for NPIs
• Engage vendors to design layouts for mother and daughter boards and coordinate fabrication
• Perform HTOL/LTOL/HAST tests using in-house environmental chambers and record readouts on schedule
• Conduct failure analysis for qualification failures and assist customers in resolving reliability issues
• Maintain records of reliability activities, including schematics, layouts, sockets, calibration, and third-party labs
• Submit and present Reliability Qualification updates during weekly TQM reviews
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor as needed
• Be an active TQM member by sharing knowledge and value with the team

Job description

Reliability Engineer | Base location in India and who can travel/work in Taiwan.

Job Description:

• Work very closely Product/Test Engineers in completing all Qualification Test Plan (QTP) items in a timely manner and then preparing the Qualification Test Results (QTR) for all NPI to meet tight project schedules and deadlines.
• Strong interest and knowledge in Device Reliability that includes High Temperature Operating Life test (HTOL), Low Temperature Operating Life test (LTOL), and Early Life Failure Rate test (ELFR); as well as Package Reliability for WLCSP/QFN/DFN that includes Moisture Sensitivity Level test (MSL), Pressure Cooker test (PCT), Temperature Cycling test (TCT), Highly Accelerated Stress test (biased and unbiased HAST), High Temperature Storage Life test (HTSL), Low Temperature Storage Life test (LTSL), Ball-level Drop test (BLDT), Board-level Temperature Cycle (BLTC), ball pull and ball shear, and others.
• Work with Designers to understand all HTOL/LTOL/HAST schematics and engage vendors to design the layouts for mother and daughter boards before confirming these layouts with Designers and then allowing the vendors to start fabrication. Responsible for placing orders for sockets and components needed for all HTOL/LTOL/HAST mother and daughter boards;
• Responsible for performing all HTOL/LTOL tests using the in-house environmental chambers and making sure proper readouts are taken at the required timelines specified by JESD47/AEC-Q100.
• Responsible for performing failure analysis for all qualification failures as well as to support customers in resolving reliability failures when required.
• Establish good record-keeping of all reliability assurance activities in DCC including schematics, layouts, sockets and components, equipment calibration and maintenance, third-party lab services, and others.
• Submit and present Reliability Qualification updates during weekly TQM review meeting.
• Perform any other tasks that are assigned by the Supervisor as and when required; and
• Be an active TQM member by contributing knowledge and value to the team.
