Job summary

Bajaj General Insurance in Pune district is seeking a dynamic Agency Manager to identify and onboard insurance advisors, ensure licensing, and build a robust agency network across the region. You will drive the agency channel to generate premiums and achieve sales targets while maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, and onboard insurance advisors/agents as per defined norms.
• Ensure timely licensing and activation of agents.
• Build a strong and sustainable agency network in the assigned geography.
• Drive premium generation through the agency channel.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (AOP aligned).
• Monitor agent productivity and ensure continuous business flow.
• Conduct training sessions on products, sales techniques, and processes.
• Guide agents on customer acquisition and closure strategies.
• Ensure agents are updated on product changes and market offerings.
• Build strong engagement with agents to drive retention and loyalty.
• Conduct regular meetings, field visits, and performance reviews with agents.
• Resolve agent queries and provide end-to-end sales support.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of proposals and documentation.
• Coordinate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams.
• Maintain hygiene on policy issuance and follow up on pending cases.
• Ensure adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
• Maintain documentation and audit compliance for agent activities.
• Monitor mis-selling and take corrective actions where required.
