About the Opportunity
A well-established South Indian jewellery house, with a legacy of decades in diamond and gold jewellery, is launching an exclusive, by-appointment private collection for a select clientele of high-net-worth collectors. The house is hiring Relationship Managers, at both a mid and senior level, to build and manage this private clientele.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage a portfolio of HNI and UHNI clients, developing long-term, trust-based relationships rather than transactional sales.
- Understand each client's collecting interests, occasions, and preferences to curate relevant pieces and private viewings.
- Present pieces with full command of provenance, craftsmanship, gemological detail, and historical context.
- Coordinate discreet, by-appointment showings, maintaining strict confidentiality throughout.
- Manage the full sales cycle: valuation discussions, documentation, insurance handover, and post-sale relationship nurturing.
- Represent the house at relevant private views, auctions, and collector circles to expand the client network.
- For senior candidates: own a book of existing UHNI relationships, mentor junior team members, and contribute to private client strategy.
Desired Candidate Profile
- 2 to 5 years (Relationship Manager) or 5+ years (Senior Relationship Manager) in luxury jewellery, fine art, private banking or wealth management, or high-value estate or antique sales.
- Demonstrated ability to build and retain relationships with HNI or UHNI clients; an existing client network is a strong advantage, especially at the senior level.
- Working knowledge of gemstones, antique jewellery periods, and provenance, or a strong willingness to develop this expertise quickly.
- Exceptional discretion, polish, and emotional intelligence.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills balanced with a consultative, relationship-first approach.
- Fluency in English and Hindi; additional languages a strong plus.
- Willingness to travel for private client meetings and occasional sourcing or showing trips.
What This Role Offers
- A rare seat in a discreet, founder-led private jewellery business at its formative stage.
- Access to one of a kind, museum-quality pieces and a growing UHNI clientele.
- Performance-linked compensation structure reflecting the high-value nature of each transaction.
- For senior hires: a clear path to leadership within the private client division.
