Luxoft is seeking a testing engineer in Bengaluru to perform product verification testing for data center routing and switching platforms. You will develop test strategies, create scalable test topologies, and automate with Python, Spirent/IXIA, and OpenStack environments, ensuring correctness across deployments.

The role requires 4+ years in networking/testing and strong communication across Product Management, Field Solutions, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in Networking/Telecom testing or related field.
• Hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation for network platforms.
• Experience with testing Data Center Network platforms and deployments.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with development, product management, and customer solution teams to test and validate data center networking features.
• Develop test strategy, topology, and plans to validate end-to-end features at scale with security considerations.
• Validate customer deployments and profiles across data center networks, security, routing and switching."
• Execute test cases, document results, and assess interoperability and deployment scenarios.
• Create automation for end-to-end solution validation and integrate it into the validation workflow.
• Debug complex issues and work with engineering to verify fixes.
• Review deployments and test coverage gaps; support customer deployments and escalations.

Project description

Product verification testing for Data Center routing switching platforms - Major Enterprise Networking equipment provider

Responsibilities

• Work closely with development engineering, product management, and customer solution engineering team to test and validate feature functionality and system test profiles for data center networks, network security and routing technologies.
• Develop test strategy, test topology and test plan to validate the features end-to-end at scale with network security considerations
• Understand various customer deployments and solutions across data center networks, security, routing and switching and validate customer profiles
• Execute test cases and validate the various features and document the test results on interoperability and customer deployment scenarios
• Collaborate with development team to translate software requirements into high-quality test automation suites
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues and work closely with the engineering team on the failures and validate the fixes
• Develop automation for the end-to-end solution validation and integrate the automation for seamless validation
• Review customer deployments and customer found issues and address any gaps in the test coverage
• Involve in customer deployments and customer escalations and help the customers to deploy Client''s solutions in their environment

Skills

Must have

• Minimum of B.S./B.E./B.Tech in CS/EE/ECE/IT
• 4+ years of relevant industry experience in Networking/Telecom
• Embedded/Network Management with hands-on experience in functional, system test and automation
• Proven technical knowledge and experience in testing Data Center Network platforms
• Proven technical knowledge and experience in Data Center Network
• IP Fabric, VxLAN EVPN, Network Virtualization Framework
• Proven technical knowledge and experience in Network Security and Routing Protocols (MPLS, ISIS, BGP, Multicast)
• Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in test plan development and validating scalable data center network and network security solutions
• Experience in planning and building large scaled system test topologies with detailed knowledge of test automation tools and software test tools (Spirent, IXIA) and virtualization platforms such as VMware (vCenter, NSX), OpenStack and Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, CentOS, KVM
• Hands-on experience in developing test automation suites using Python or a similar scripting language
• Ability to develop and publish solution validation document and test reports
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization: Product Management, Technical Marketing, Field Sales, TAC, Documentation and Development Team
• Highly motivated and self-driven
• Able to collaborate cross-functionally to meet challenging goals
