Job summary

Xoriant is seeking a Network QA Solution Test Automation Engineer to drive high-quality delivery for networking features across routers, switches, firewalls, and SDN/NFV environments. You will derive test cases from specs, automate end-to-end test scenarios, and integrate scripts with CI/CD pipelines, mentoring peers in automation.

This role emphasizes strong networking knowledge, Python automation, testbed design, and proficiency with network OS platforms.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, VLAN, STP).
• Hands-on Python-based automation frameworks (Pytest, Pyats).
• Experience with VXLAN.
• Proven testbed design and lab setups.
• Familiarity with network OS platforms (Cisco IOS, Juniper JunOS).
• Experience with packet capture and protocol analyzers.
• Exposure to REST APIs, gRPC, NETCONF/YANG-based automation.
• Experience integrating automation with CI/CD systems.
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand requirements and derive testcases from the functional spec.
• Perform Solution testing and automate the testcase end to end.
• Integrate automated scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation best practices and scripting (Python preferred).
• Create detailed test plans, strategies, and quality metrics to support complex networking features and releases.
• Should be scalable enough to work across different project, interact with different stakeholder and own the system.

Your work will directly impact our ability to scale, accelerate testing cycles, and ensure network resilience and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Should be able to understand the requirement and derive testcases from the functional spec.
• Perform Solution testing and automate the testcase end to end.
• Integrate automated scripts with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Mentor and guide QA engineers on automation best practices and scripting (Python preferred).

Required Skills & Experience:

• Deep understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols, architecture, and troubleshooting. (e.g., BGP, OSPF, ISIS, MPLS, VLAN, STP, etc.).
• Strong hands-on experience in Python-based automation frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Pyats ..).
• Good experience in VXLAN
• Proven experience in testbed design, lab setups, and traffic simulation.
• Familiarity with network OS platforms (e.g., Cisco IOS, Juniper JunOS, ).
• Expertise with packet capture and protocol analyzers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or similar.
• Experience with SDN, NFV, or cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets).
• Experience testing high-availability, load-balancing, and failover scenarios.
