Job summary

Sonata Software is seeking an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Chennai team. You will design and maintain Python-based automation frameworks, perform both manual and automated testing across diverse hardware interfaces, and collaborate closely with software and hardware teams in an office-based setting.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of QA experience, strong Python scripting skills, and hands-on experience with Appium/Selenium, Jira, and GitHub.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years QA experience in automation and manual testing.
• Proficiency in Python for testing and scripting.
• Experience with Jira, GitHub, or comparable tools.
• Expertise in automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, or equivalents.
• Good understanding of hardware interfaces and protocols (video, audio, Bluetooth, WiFi).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and inter-personal abilities.
• Self-motivated and able to work effectively from office.

Responsibilities
