Job summary

Kiya.ai in Chennai invites an experienced Mobile Automation Tester to contribute to our mobile QA efforts. The role focuses on building robust automation using Appium and API testing tools to ensure quality across mobile apps.

You will work within an agile team, maintain automation scripts per enterprise framework, and also assist with manual testing when needed. Strong Java and CI/CD experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in software testing for mobile automation.
• Hands-on experience with Appium, API testing tools, Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Strong Java knowledge and automation scripting.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Nexus) is required.
• Familiarity with CSS, HTML, Node.js and Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, execute and maintain automation scripts per framework standards.
• Be prepared to perform manual testing when needed.
• Coordinate test status and results with Test Lead and project team.

Job description

Position : Mobile Automation Testing

Experience: 7 to 10 Years

Notice period: Immediate to 15 Days (Not more than)

Location : Chennai

Type Of interview : F2F Interview (Final Discussion)

Direct Responsibilities

• Perform test automation utilizing testing tools such APPIUM, APIs Testing Tools, Cucumber & Gherkin
• Develop, execute and maintain automation test scripts according to the enterprise Automation Framework standard
• Also ready to work on Manual test execution (if needed) by creating and maintaining test sets
• Experience in CI/CD is required
• Provide technical assistance to other Automation Engineers regarding the enterprise Automation Framework
• Determine automation feasibility for functional test sets/cases
• Provide test automation status and execution results to Test Lead/Test manager and other project team members.
• Work closely with QA team members, developers and other project team members in the process of automation (agile environment).

Contributing Responsibilities

• Experience in using Java and Automation Scripting with Mobile automation testing (APPIUM, Cucumber & Gherkin)
• Java, CI/CD, GitLab, Nexus experience is a must
• familiarity with CSS, HTML, Node.js and Angular is good to have.
• JIRA-XRay knowledge is added advantage
• Excellent communications skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
