Job summary

AAM - American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking a Regional Sales Manager in Pimpri, Maharashtra to maximize profits, drive new business wins, and develop sales strategies with existing customers.

You will ensure the order book aligns with the budget, prepare budgets, analyse AR, plan collections, monitor schedules with plant teams, identify market trends, and coordinate with engineering to ensure on-time development and launch of new parts.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required.
• MBA desirable.
• 10–15 years field experience in Auto Component / Light Engineering Industry.

Responsibilities

• Accomplishment of sales objectives as per strategy.
• Ensure order book is in line with the sales budget/Forecast.
• Prepare budget and strategy for assigned customers.
• Analysis of AR on regular basis and intervene for payment on case to case basis.
• Prepare Monthly collection plan for assigned customers.
• Review of monthly schedules with Plant customer service team / SCM.
• Identify market trends for automotive business (IHS & SIAM) and make action plan accordingly.
• Survey consumer needs and trends.
• Oversee the company warehouses in the region.
• Accomplishment of new business and margin management
• Achieve new business wins in line with the sales strategy/ Target.
• Win Conquest business as per target.
• Study of SBI product and win projects accordingly.
• Follow up with Engineering team for On time Development and safe launch of new parts
• Track competitor growth plan and activity.
• Recover of inflation and raw material as per strategy.
• Implement MSA for assigned customers.
• Follow-up and achieve price increase with customers as per target.
• Initiate and close commercial negotiation of new products in line with ROS targets
• Ensure effective customer relationship management
• Regular customer visit and nurture relationship with customers
• identify new customer opportunities.
• Follow up for customer quality concerns with Plant QA team
• Follow up for customer Delivery / schedule adherence / Logistic concern with respective plant team.
• Maintain and expand customer base.
• Develop and manage Reportees (If Applicable)
• Preparation of monthly report.
• Leading, mentoring & coaching the performance of the team
• Ensure PDP takes place as per the corporate guidelines.
• Promote a culture of merit and fair treatment

Required Skills and Education

• Engineering Graduate
• MBA desirable.
• 10-15 years field experience in Auto Component / Light Engineering Industry.
• Exposure to handle regional set-up independently.
• Strong market knowledge and customer relationship management.
