Job summary

Dauch Corporation is seeking an Engineer Production to supervise hourly production staff and direct resources for daily manufacturing goals. The role involves planning, scheduling, setup of production activities, and ensuring material distribution aligns with the schedule.

The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years in manufacturing with hands-on shop floor supervision, preferably in powder metallurgy, and a BE or DME in Mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

• B.E. or DME Mechanical degree.
• 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in supervising shop floor activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production associates, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide direction.
• Coordinate planning, scheduling, and setup of production activities.
• Oversee material dispersal and ensure timely availability for production.
• Maintain labor and material requirements to meet daily production goals.
• Monitor process flow and intervene to maintain efficiency and quality.
• Record daily shift production data, yields, and recoveries.
• Communicate status and requirements to the next shift; ensure safety compliance.
• Engage with union or worker representatives where applicable, per policy.
• Recommend process improvements and oversee implementation of changes.
• All other duties as assigned.

• Supervises production associate outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
• Maintains production processes by observing process volumes; recommending process adjustments.
• Completes production processes by monitoring progress; expediting material flow and work results; resolving problems.
• Improves process workflow by eliminating stoppages; analyzing delays; testing new methods.
• Records production by completing daily shift production reports; calculating yields and recoveries.
• Maintains process flow by communicating production status, requirements, and problems to next shift.
• Maintains working relationship with union, where applicable, by complying with the terms of the (CBA).
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy production process environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
• Contributes to production process and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills And Education

B.E. or DME Mechanical

5-7 years of experience from manufacturing industry

Hands on experience on shop floor supervision

Preferably from Powder Metallurgy industry
