Job summary

Allcargo Global Mumbai is seeking an experienced Finance & Accounts leader to oversee monthly MIS, financial statements, and closure activities for the Mumbai branch. The role requires deep expertise in GST, TDS, Ind AS, budgeting, and financial controls within logistics and NVOCC operations.

You will manage banking, vendor and customer interfaces, drive process improvements, automation, audits, and team development, ensuring governance, accuracy, and timely reporting across the network.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Ind AS, and Financial Statement Preparation.
• Expertise in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Financial Controls.
• Experience in Budgeting, MIS Reporting, and Financial Analysis.
• Ability to handle Statutory and Internal Audits independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly MIS and management reports for Mumbai Branch.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and closure activities.
• Monitor accounting processes and ensure accuracy of books of accounts.
• Coordinate GST, TDS compliance and resolve related issues with taxation teams.
• Lead internal and statutory audits and provide schedules and explanations.
• Manage branch cash flow and banking interactions.
• Drive finance process improvements and ERP/system enhancements.
• Mentor and manage Finance & Accounts team and ensure workload balance.

Job description

• Preparation and review of monthly NVOCC Mumbai Branch MIS and management reports.
• Preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, balance sheets, and closure activities.
• Monitoring accounting processes and ensuring accuracy of books of accounts.
• Timely reconciliation and rectification of ledgers and accounting records.
• Managing branch cash flow and overseeing cash counter activities.
• Budget preparation and variance analysis for Mumbai operations.
• Preparing additional reports and business analysis as required by management.

Taxation & Compliance

• Ensuring compliance with GST, TDS, and applicable statutory regulations.
• Resolving GST-related issues and coordinating with taxation teams.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies, financial controls, and governance standards.

Audit & Financial Controls

• Coordinating with Internal Auditors and Statutory Auditors.
• Providing audit schedules, reports, explanations, and business process clarifications.
• Supporting IFC testing and verification activities.
• Assisting in quarter-end and year-end audit requirements.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaising with Banks for smooth day-to-day financial operations.
• Coordinating with Vendors on taxation and payment-related matters.
• Working closely with Customers for financial clarifications and requirements.
• Collaborating with Corporate Finance, Branch Teams, and Intercompany Stakeholders.

Process Improvement & System Management

• Driving finance process improvements and SOP implementation.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and operational efficiency.
• Handling ERP/software-related issues, master creation, mapping, and customization.
• Supporting business transformation initiatives across finance processes.

Team Management

• Leading and mentoring the Finance & Accounts team.
• Providing guidance on operational, customer, vendor, and banking-related issues.
• Ensuring efficient workload management and team development.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Ind AS, and Financial Statement Preparation.
• Expertise in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Financial Controls.
• Experience in Budgeting, MIS Reporting, and Financial Analysis.
• Ability to handle Statutory and Internal Audits independently.
• Hands-on exposure to ERP systems and finance process automation.
