Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is hiring a hands-on Linux/Cloud Engineer in Chennai to manage RHEL, OpenShift, and Kubernetes clusters. You will automate configurations with Ansible, script in Bash/Python, and optimize performance, security, and HA for telecom-grade environments.

You will work with CI/CD tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD), monitor using Prometheus/Grafana/ELK, and engage with cloud platforms across AWS/Azure/GCP with OpenShift focus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Linux server administration in production environments.
• Experience deploying and managing OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters.
• Automation and configuration management using Ansible.
• Scripting in Bash and some Python for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, security, and HA in telecom-grade systems.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tooling (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Argo CD).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and OpenShift focus.
• Monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana and ELK stack; RHCSA/RHCE/OpenShift certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9)

Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes administration and application deployment
