Job summary

The Hosteller, Mumbai HQ, seeks a Talent Acquisition Manager for kitchen and housekeeping roles. You will own the funnel, supply base and the team across chef, assistant chef, commis, server, utility, housekeeping supervisor and executive, ensuring timely hiring against demand.

You will build quarterly and monthly hiring plans, manage field drives, partner networks, and screening pipelines while aligning with our culture and guest experience. Min.

Qualifications

• MBA or PGDM in HR or a related field.
• Min. 5 years in high-volume blue collar hiring, in hospitality or another ops-heavy business.
• Proven contractor, NGO and skilling-partner management.
• Comfortable running field drives and mass sourcing, not only portals.
• Absolute belief in the company's vision and culture, and the ability to sell it.

Responsibilities

• Build quarterly and monthly hiring plans, forecast with operations hostel by hostel, plan pre-opening against timelines, build a healthy funnel/pool of candidates.
• Keep the team supplied with screened-ready candidates on every open role and with enough overage to survive drop-off.
• Decide when a role opens and when it closes and manage portal slots against live demand.
• Work the supply relationships continuously: contractors, NGO partners, skilling partners, culinary and ITI institutes, local vendors and field drives in tier 2 and 3 markets.
• Track performance by source and by cost, negotiate on conversion to joiner rather than profiles shared, track ninety-day retention by partner.
• Allocate roles by volume, urgency and location difficulty, set weekly/monthly targets, escalate requisitions as needed.
• Sign off verification for housekeeping supervisor and chef, ensure medical clearance for every kitchen hire, and own salary/benefits conversations.
• Track the quality of the team's work and align with the company's vision and culture in every conversation.

Role overview

Owns the funnel, the supply base and the team for the volume lane: chef, assistant chef, commis chef, server, utility, housekeeping supervisor and executive. The manager builds and holds the pipeline the team close from and is judged on whether people report on the day rather than on offers released.

Responsibilities

• Build quarterly and monthly hiring plans, forecast with operations hostel by hostel, plan pre-opening against timelines, build a healthy funnel/pool of candidates, at all time
• Keep the team supplied with screened-ready candidates on every open role, and with enough overage to survive the drop-off
• Decide when a role opens and when it closes and manage the finite portal slots against live demand rather than leaving postings running
• Work the supply relationships continuously: contractors, NGO partners, skilling partners, culinary and ITI institutes, local vendors and field drives in tier 2 and 3 markets
• Track performance by source and by cost, negotiate on conversion to joiner rather than profiles shared, track ninety-day retention by partner and optimise the referral programme
• Allocate roles by volume, urgency and location difficulty, set weekly and monthly targets, and act as the escalation point for any requisition at risk of missing a batch or an opening
• Sign off verification for housekeeping supervisor and chef, ensure medical clearance for every kitchen hire, and own the in-hand salary, food, accommodation, weekly off and salary date conversation
• Track the quality of the team's work and not only its volume, and carry absolute belief in the company's vision and culture into every conversation with a joining candidate
