Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking an experienced Consultant Specialist to own technical design and architecture, driving transformation and future-state solutions. You will lead and guide the POD, delivering business outcomes through strong technical direction and collaboration.

You will design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications with a focus on ReactJS and modern UI technologies, while pushing DevOps automation and performance improvements across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with engineering and DevOps tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Maven, SonarQube, AppDynamics).
• Proficiency in Agile/DevOps delivery models and modular software design.
• Knowledge of Jira and Confluence; exposure to AWS or GCP.
• Banking-domain experience or strong understanding of enterprise financial services.

In this role, you will

• Own technical design and architecture, driving transformation, innovation, and the adoption of future-state solutions.
• Lead and guide the POD, supporting delivery of business outcomes through effective technical direction and collaboration.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications, with a strong focus on ReactJS and modern UI technologies.
• Drive DevOps automation and performance improvement, including streamlined development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
• Review technical deliverables and champion quality, ensuring solutions meet engineering standards for reliability, reusability, scalability, and supportability.
• Troubleshoot defects and production issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
• Work across the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements analysis and estimation through development, testing, release, and production rollout.
• Collaborate with global teams and stakeholdersto develop strategic solutions, improve processes, and strengthen technical capability.

To be successful in this role, you should

• Be proficient with engineering and DevOps tools, including Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Maven, SonarQube, Checkmarx, and AppDynamics.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, particularly for applications deployed on industry-standard platforms.
• Have experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery models, with a pragmatic approach to building modular, extensible, and maintainable software.
• Be capable of leading modules or projects end to end, including estimation, planning, delivery, quality assurance, and production implementation.
• Have practical knowledge of Jira and Confluence, with exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• Bring banking-domain experience or a strong understanding of enterprise financial-services environments.
• Communicate confidently with global teams and stakeholders, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, collaboration, and stakeholder management.
