Job summary

HSBC Software Development India in Pune, India is seeking a Senior Consultant Specialist to join our technology team. You will lead hands-on development focusing on React, Redux and Node.js, and help shape low-level design and secure coding practices.

The role requires 10–15 years of experience in front-end technologies, strong REST API collaboration with back-end teams, and proven ability to manage multi-site teams in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of hands-on experience on REACT, REDUX and Node JS.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in JavaScript, HTML and CSS. UI Build Frameworks - NPM, Grunt, Gulp
• JS Testing Frameworks - Mocha, Jasmine, JEST, Chai. Experience consuming REST API using async methods in partnership with back-end development teams
• Leading Development and Design of medium to large projects. Proven track record of delivering complex programs
• Driving teams towards futuristic technologies. Have experience in working on Agile ways. Demonstrate experience in working under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate handling production issues towards quick resolutions or workarounds
• Ensuring learning culture s nurtured within teams. Ability to manage globally distributed, multi-site teams and delegate work
• Proven experience in managing technical team. Domain knowledge on Corporate Payments.Experience in ITSO Activities. BE or MCA or equivalent Degree.

Responsibilities

• Drive pods technically towards secured coding patterns; adapt to changing requirements in agile environment.
• Consider alerting, recovery and monitoring in low-level design.
• Ensure accurate code reviews and artefacts; mentor junior team members.
• Communicate firmly and unbiased; challenge solutions with alternatives.
• Document and demonstrate end-to-end design with high- and low-level designs.
• Hands-on as needed; uphold best coding standards across pods.
• Coordinate delivery of services from internal/external teams.

In this role, you will:

• Need to possess very good technical acumen (hands-on) related to and not limited to REACT, REDUX and Node JS
• Ability to perform low level design based on the solutions and drafting a few pseudos-code where applicable
• Ensure design caters to all futuristic needs in terms of technology / scalability / robust and performance aspects.
• Need to be able to drive the pods technically towards a secured coding pattern. Possess the ability to be able to handle changes in the requirement in an agile environment.
• Should be considering all aspects of Alerting / recovery and monitoring in the low-level design
• Ensure code reviews are accurate and able to exhibit artefacts when challenged. Act as a subject matter expert for junior members of the team.
• Possess firm and unbiased communication skills. Can challenge any solutions in related forums and provide with better/proven alternatives.
• Documents and demonstratesend to end design by creating high- and low-level design
• Should be willing to go hands-on frequently and showcase best coding standards to the pods
• Effectively co-ordinate delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams.
