Job summary

HSBC Software Development India is seeking a Senior Consultant Specialist to design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade full-stack applications using Python for backend services and React JS for frontend development.

You will build and deploy AI/ML-enabled solutions on Google Cloud Platform to strengthen enterprise metadata management, data controls, data quality checks, and risk detection capabilities. Collaboration in Agile teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Extensive full-stack development experience in enterprise environments.
• Proven Google Cloud Platform (GCP) deployment experience (Cloud Run/Functions, GKE, BigQuery).
• Hands-on AI/ML production solutions using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement full-stack applications (Python backend, React frontend).

• Develop scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven services.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specalist

In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-grade full-stack applications using Python for backend services and React JS for frontend development, following engineering best practices and coding standards.
• Build and deploy AI/ML-enabled solutions on GCP to strengthen enterprise metadata management, data controls, data quality checks, and risk detection capabilities.
• Develop scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven services using Python frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django, integrated with cloud-native GCP services.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and cross-functional Agile teams to deliver end-to-end solutions supporting regulatory and control objectives.
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, contributing as a strong individual contributor within the team.
• Ensure high engineering quality through code reviews, unit/integration testing, documentation, and adherence to clean code and secure development practices.
• Contribute to solutions that support regulatory and risk management requirements including BCBS 239, Internal Risk Rating (IRR), and broader enterprise data governance objectives.

To be successful, you will:

• Extensive experience in full-stack software development, with strong hands-on expertise in Python and React JS in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI/ML solutions in production using tools/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn, with awareness of MLOps practices.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, GraphQL, event-driven systems, and working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Solid grounding in software design principles, design patterns, clean code, and cloud-native engineering practices.
• Experience with DevOps and engineering tooling including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and testing frameworks such as Pytest and Jest.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience working effectively in Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams.
