Job summary

PeopleStrong in Chennai is seeking a Reinforcement Engineer with 3-7 years of experience. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will handle reinforcement work including cutting, bending and tying of reinforcement for all elements.

You will prepare BBS based on approved drawings, optimize scrap and offcuts, ensure safe working conditions, coordinate with engineers and internal departments, and manage monthly rebar reconciliations and client bill certification where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Reinforcement Engineer: Report to the Project Manager
• Cutting, bending & tying of reinforcement for all elements
• Coordinate with engineers' representatives and internal departments
• Prepare BBS based on approved drawings
• Optimize scrap & offcuts
• Ensure safe working conditions and safety practices
• Assure quality at all stages
• Submit monthly steel requirements to Construction Manager
• Coordinate between shift engineers
• Submit RFIs as per systems for planned activities
• Coordinate with external departments
• Rebar reconciliation monthly
• Prepare and certify client bill if applicable
