Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking an EHS Engineer for site safety oversight at project sites in Mumbai. The role focuses on monitoring daily safety practices, enforcing safety policies, and promoting a strong safety culture across construction activities.

The engineer will identify hazards, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety guidelines, and PPE requirements, coordinating with subcontractors and execution teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) required.
• Diploma / Certification in Industrial Safety / Construction Safety preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EHS for construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures.
• Identify unsafe conditions and risks and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings and organize training programs.
• Ensure contractors follow site safety rules, PPE requirements and safe work practices.
• Maintain records of site safety inspections, incidents and observations.
• Prepare daily and weekly safety reports and support incident investigations.
