BWR offers rating services to Bank Loans, NCD, Commercial Papers, Bonds, Mutual Funds, PPMLDs, and Security Receipts. Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake rating assignments for financial instruments, bank loans, and other debt products, ensuring timely delivery as per regulatory timelines.
- Independently handle rating assignments, analyzing financial statements by factoring quantitative and qualitative data points, key ratios, and performance to assess creditworthiness.
- Prepare rating reports covering risk assessment with respect to management, financials, business and industry, benchmarking with peers, and key rating considerations.
- Interact with company management, auditors, bankers, and other lenders, and visit companies and factories for monitoring and data gathering.
- Carry out regular surveillance, monitoring, and reviews on a quarterly basis or material event basis, tracking performance relative to macroeconomic changes, and handling internal and external audit queries.
- Strictly adhere to standard operating procedures, regulations, and policies.
Qualifications
- Good domain knowledge in credit ratings, banking, and financial services sector with an analytical approach.
- Assessment of the creditworthiness of mid‑corporate businesses.
- Good analytical and presentation skills to present facts and rating recommendations to rating committees.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English for report‑writing and presentations.
- Customer communication skills to elicit information, ask questions, communicate rating decisions, and convince stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, banking‑related financial concepts, and quantitative analytical skills.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work with the larger team under guidance of mentor team members.
- Detail oriented and comfortable working with numbers.
- Proficiency in any South Indian language (preferably Telugu, Kannada, and/or Tamil) will be an added advantage.
Graduate/Post‑Graduate in Finance or Commerce, CA/CFA or any additional certification in Finance will be an added advantage.
Candidates with financial analysis of companies/ corporate credit experience will be given high priority.
