AVEVA in Bangalore is seeking a senior R&D professional to lead testing of cloud-hosted products. You will define test strategies, design automation, and validate deployments across environments, working with Product, DevOps, and Support teams.

The role requires strong experience with AKS, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines, plus Agile/Scrum discipline and collaboration across R&D functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software testing or QA with enterprise apps.
• Experience validating cloud apps on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Proven ability to create test strategies, plans, cases, and validation reports.
• Experience testing REST APIs, microservices, and service-based architectures.
• Proficient with Azure DevOps, Test Plans, CI/CD and release validation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and DevOps to define test strategies and ensure high-quality cloud solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Design, develop, and maintain test plans, cases, data, and automation suites for cloud-based products.
• Validate deployments across environments and ensure release readiness for new features and upgrades.
• Develop automated tests for UI, API, integration, and end-to-end workflows.

Key responsibilities

Work closely with Product Owners, Developers, DevOps Engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, define test strategies, and ensure high-quality delivery of cloud-hosted solutions. Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Design, develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test data, and test automation suites for cloud-based products and services. Validate cloud deployments across multiple environments and ensure release readiness through comprehensive verification of new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and platform upgrades. Develop and maintain automated testing solutions covering UI, API, integration, and end-to-end business workflows to improve regression coverage and test efficiency. Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices. Validate system reliability, scalability, security, and performance aspects of cloud-hosted applications and services. Collaborate with Customer Support and field teams to reproduce, troubleshoot, and validate customer-reported issues.

Essential requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Validation Engineering, with significant experience validating enterprise software products.
• Strong experience in testing cloud-hosted applications/cloud-native solutions deployed on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Hands-on experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and validation reports for complex software systems.
• Experience validating REST APIs, microservices, and service-based architectures.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Test Plans, CI/CD pipelines, and release validation processes.
• Experience performing functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and upgrade testing for enterprise applications.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and assess product quality risks.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across Development, Product, DevOps, Support, and R&D teams.
• Expertise in test automation using Selenium, Playwright, NUnit, C#, or equivalent automation technologies.

Desired skills and competencies

• Knowledge of Azure services such as App Services, Azure Functions, Storage Accounts, Service Bus, Key Vault.
• Experience with API automation tools such as Postman or equivalent frameworks.
• Experience with PowerShell, scripting, and test environment automation.
• Exposure to performance, scalability, reliability, and security testing.
• Experience with observability tools, application monitoring, log analysis, and troubleshooting cloud deployments.
• Knowledge of industrial software, engineering applications, or manufacturing domain solutions.
• Experience working with customer-facing cloud services and validating production deployment scenarios.
• Explore and adopt AI/Agentic AI-driven testing and debugging to improve engineering productivity and move toward autonomous QA.
