Job summary

NGL Fine Chem in Mumbai is seeking a skilled chemical scientist to perform multi-step organic synthesis of API intermediates and final products. The role includes developing and optimizing routes, leading process development from lab to commercial scale, and reviewing technical and regulatory documentation.

Preferred candidates have strong experience in API synthesis and are capable of coordinating with QA/QC, Regulatory teams, and production to ensure quality, cost, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-step organic synthesis of API intermediates and final products.
• Ability to develop and optimize synthetic routes for yield, purity and cost.
• Experience leading scale-up and technology transfer from lab to production.
• Familiarity with regulatory documentation and quality systems.

• Perform multi-step organic synthesis of API intermediates and final products.

• Lead process development and optimization projects from lab to commercial scale.
• Review synthetic routes, process risks, and cost optimization strategies.
• Drive scale-up, technology transfer, and plant troubleshooting activities.
• Review technical reports, batch records, SOPs, and regulatory documentation.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Procurement, and Regulatory teams.
• Guide and mentor R&D scientists/executives while ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Identify innovation opportunities and support continuous process improvement.
• Ensure projects are completed within quality, cost, and timeline objectives.
