MacDermid Enthone Industrial Solutions seeks a chemical/materials scientist to drive R&D and application development projects. You will develop and optimize formulations, analyze data, and scale up processes for industrial coatings.

The role requires strong lab skills, documentation discipline, and collaboration across teams. A degree in chemistry/chemical engineering and 3–5 years in surface finishing is preferred.

Formación

• Strong background in chemical engineering or materials chemistry with data analysis experience.
• Experience in surface finishing industry and electroplating is desirable.
• Ability to develop measurement methods and perform complex tests.

Responsabilidades

• Work on R&D projects: new formulation development, optimization, statistics, performance testing, scale-up.
• Support application development per customer requirements for industrial solutions.
• Analyze experimental results and maintain detailed lab records.
• Qualify raw materials to mitigate risks and support supplier continuity.
• Prepare SOPs, calibration reports, and analytical documents to ISO 9001-2015.

Who are we looking for?

To efficiently support R&D and Application development projects. Ensure accurate documentation, analysis, and presentation of experimental results while contributing to product development, quality improvement, and compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

What will you be doing?

• Work on R&D projects. New formulation development, optimization, statistical analysis, performance testing and scale-up.
• Work on Application development projects as per Customer requirement to support Industrial solutions business.
• Analysis and interpretation of experimental results.
• Analysis and qualification of alternate raw materials to support product localization, mitigate single-source risks, and manage supplier Force Majeure events.
• Maintenance, Calibration and operation of laboratory equipments.
• Scale-up and testing of new formulation or existing products in Pilot line.
• Prepare work instruction, standard operating procedures, calibration reports and analysis reports to comply with quality management system, ISO 9001-2015.
• Accountable for the timely completion of R&D and Application development projects.
• Must maintain detailed records of research activities. This includes both laboratory e-notebook as well as Technical Memoranda.
• Must maintain and safeguard confidential and trade secret information regarding products, processes, and techniques.
• Participation in symposia and lecture events
• Lectures at internal and external scientific events

Who are You?

• B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering or M.Sc. in Chemistry/Materials Science or Ph.D. in Chemistry/Materials Science is strongly preferred.
• 3-5 years’ experience in surface finishing Industry.
• Experience in the field of electroplating technology is desirable.
• Strong ability to analyse project requirements and create new measurement methods with suitable equipment to perform complex tests.
• Experience in statistical data analysis using Minitab will be an added advantage.
