Job summary

Bvsr Constructions is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to prepare and verify BOQs and detailed quantity estimates for road and highway projects. You will calculate earthwork quantities, prepare RA bills, and ensure measurements align with drawings and specifications.

The role requires strong knowledge of civil engineering, with expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity estimation, and billing processes. Site work and coordination with multiple teams are essential for project success.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, verify, and maintain BOQs and detailed quantity estimates for road and highway construction works.
• Calculate quantities for earthwork, embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM, bituminous works, concrete works, and other project activities as applicable.
• Prepare and verify Running Account (RA) bills, subcontractor bills, and client billing documents.
• Verify site measurements against approved drawings, BOQs, and actual executed work.
• Maintain Measurement Books (MB), quantity statements, and supporting billing records.
• Perform rate analysis for extra items, deviations, and variation works.
• Monitor executed quantities against BOQ quantities and identify discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly quantity reconciliation and assist in project cost control.
• Coordinate with site engineers, planning teams, project managers, and accounts teams for billing and quantity verification.
• Maintain accurate records of materials consumed, quantities executed, and work completed.
• Identify opportunities to reduce quantity discrepancies and improve billing accuracy.
• Ensure all quantity and billing documentation is accurate and submitted within project deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and coordination abilities.

• Candidates with relevant experience in road, highway, or infrastructure projects will be preferred.
• Must be capable of independently handling quantity calculations, billing documentation, and reconciliation.
• Should be detail-oriented, responsible, and comfortable working at a project site.
• Candidates with practical knowledge of BOQ, RA bills, and subcontractor billing are strongly preferred.
