Job summary

Talent Seeds Corporate Solutions is seeking a Planning & Cost Estimation Engineer with hands-on experience in marble and natural stone cladding and flooring works. The role covers project planning, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, and coordination with execution teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in interiors/finishing works (stone preferred), strong BOQ preparation and rate analysis skills, and

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or Interior/Civil Diploma, ITI.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interiors / finishing works (stone preferred).
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and estimation.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare detailed cost estimates for marble, granite, limestone, and other natural stone works (cladding, flooring, staircases, facades, etc.).
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (2D/3D) and specifications; analyze tender documents, BOQs, and project scope.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors; prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, and installation; support tender submission and cost optimization.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop project schedules using MS Project / Primavera; prepare baseline programs and track progress against milestones; coordinate with project managers and site teams.
• Cost Control & Reporting: Track project costs vs budget, monitor wastage and site efficiencies, prepare MIS reports; suggest cost-saving measures.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Planning & Cost Estimation Engineer with hands-on experience in marble and natural stone cladding and flooring works. The role involves project planning, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, budgeting, and coordination with execution teams to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Tendering
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for marble, granite, limestone, and other natural stone works (cladding, flooring, staircases, facades, etc.)
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (2D/3D) and specifications
• Analyze tender documents, BOQs, and project scope
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare rate analysis for materials, labor, and installation
• Support in tender submission, value engineering, and cost optimization
• Planning & Scheduling
• Develop project schedules using tools like MS Project / Primavera
• Prepare baseline programs and track progress against milestones
• Coordinate with project managers and site teams to update progress
• Identify delays, risks, and propose mitigation plans
• Monitor productivity and resource allocation and manage the ERP module for data entry (onsite)
• Project Coordination
• Work closely with design, procurement, and execution teams
• Ensure alignment between drawings, BOQs, and site conditions
• Assist in resolving site-related technical and quantity issues
• Support billing and certification processes
• Cost Control & Reporting
• Track project costs vs budget and highlight variances
• Prepare periodic MIS reports on cost, progress, and profitability
• Monitor wastage, material consumption, and site efficiencies
• Suggest cost-saving measures without compromising quality
• Technical Expertise
• Understand marble/stone selection, cutting, polishing, fixing methods
• Knowledge of dry cladding systems, wet fixing, adhesives, anchoring systems
• Familiarity with shop drawings and cutting lists is essential
• Preparation of BOQ

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or Interior/Civil Diploma, ITI.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in interiors / finishing works (stone preferred)
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and estimation
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD (mandatory)
• MS Excel (advanced level)
• MS Project / Primavera (preferred)
• Good understanding of site execution challenges and practical constraints
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in marble or natural stone contracting companies
• Exposure to high-end residential, commercial, or hospitality projects
• Experience working with international consultants or standards
