Job summary

• Proficiency in quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, cost estimation, and cost planning.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review BOQs, tender documents, cost estimates, and pricing schedules.
• Manage measurement and valuation of works, including interim payments and final accounts.
• Review contractor claims, variations, change orders, and provide commercial assessments.
• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flows, and expenditures throughout the lifecycle.

Quantity Surveyor - Civil | Chennai

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management , or a related discipline.


• 5-10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Commercial Management, or Project Controls.


• Experience in building, infrastructure, urban development, or PMC projects will be preferred.


• Strong knowledge of quantity take-off, BOQ preparation, rate analysis, cost estimation, and cost planning .


• Experience in pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying activities .


• Prepare and review BOQs, tender documents, cost estimates, and pricing schedules .


• Manage measurement and valuation of works , including interim payment applications and final accounts.


• Review contractor claims, variations, change orders, and additional works and provide commercial assessments.


• Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, cash flows, and expenditure throughout the project lifecycle.


• Assist in tender evaluation, bid analysis, commercial negotiations, contractor selection .


• Ensure compliance with contract conditions, specifications, drawings, and applicable standards .


• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, project managers, and design teams on commercial and quantity-related matters.


• Support cost reporting, risk assessment, and commercial management of projects.


• Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant Quantity Surveying / Cost Management software.


• Strong analytical, numerical, documentation, communication, and negotiation skills .


• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project deliverables within deadlines.
