Job description

As a Quality Manager in the Lithium-ion Battery Industry, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our battery manufacturing processes. You will lead quality assurance initiatives, oversee regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will be critical in maintaining our position as a leader in the rapidly evolving battery industry.


Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement quality management systems specifically tailored to the lithium-ion battery manufacturing process, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Lead quality assurance activities throughout the battery production lifecycle, including incoming materials inspection, manufacturing processes, and final product testing.
  3. Establish and maintain rigorous quality control measures to monitor critical parameters and ensure the consistency and reliability of battery performance.
  4. Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate adherence to quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, engineering, operations, and supply chain, to address quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Analyze quality data and metrics to track performance trends, identify root causes of defects or failures, and implement preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
  7. Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on quality standards, best practices, and safety protocols relevant to lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes related to lithium-ion battery manufacturing, and ensure that our quality management systems remain current and effective.
  9. Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, to foster a culture of quality excellence and trust.
  10. Drive a culture of quality consciousness and accountability throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of quality in all aspects of our operations.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, chemistry, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 10 years of experience in quality management, preferably in the lithium-ion battery industry or a related field.
  3. In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion battery manufacturing processes, quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001), and regulatory requirements (e.g., UN38.3, IEC 62133).
  4. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies, such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Design of Experiments (DOE).
  5. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a systematic approach to quality management.
  7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
  8. Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) is a plus.
