Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking a Manager QMS Life Insurance BPS Operations to drive operational excellence and ensure compliant, high-quality delivery. You will establish and enhance QMS aligned with ISO, CMMI, and regulatory standards while leading the PMO to ensure governance and successful project delivery across functions.

The role requires 8–12 years in Quality Management or PMO with 3–5 years in a managerial capacity, preferably in BPO/ITES or BFSI Life Insurance domains.

Qualifications

• ISO 9001, CMMI, Six Sigma experience required.
• PMO and project governance expertise.
• 8-12 years in QMS/PMO/Operations Excellence; 3-5 years in management.
• BPO/ITES/BFSI Life Insurance domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager QMS Life Insurance BPS Operations. This role is pivotal in driving day-to-day operational excellence, ensuring seamless business operations, and delivering exceptional client service.The Manager QMS and PMO will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and enhancing the organizations Quality Management System in alignment with international standards (ISO, CMMI, regulatory requirements, etc.), while also leading the Project Management Office to ensure consistent project governance, execution excellence, and delivery of strategic initiatives. This role acts as a bridge between compliance, quality, and business transformation initiatives to drive efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities includes:

• Quality Management System (QMS) Develop, implement, and maintain the organizations Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO and other applicable standards
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and customer requirements
• Define, monitor, and report key quality metrics, audits, and corrective actions
• Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification/recertification audits
• Drive continual improvement initiatives across processes, policies, and practices
• Train and mentor teams on QMS standards, documentation, and compliance
• Project Management Office (PMO) Establish and manage PMO governance frameworks, project methodologies, and reporting structures
• Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects
• Ensure project alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines
• Monitor risks, dependencies, and performance of projects across functions
• Provide executive dashboards, status reports, and insights for leadership decision-making
• Build project management capability across teams through coaching and trainingSkills / Knowledge / Experience required Strong understanding of ISO 9001, CMMI, Six Sigma, or other QMS frameworks
• Proven expertise in Project Management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, PMI, etc) Monitoring process adherence, identifying risks, and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Driving standardization across processes to ensure consistency in error tracking, RCA, and reporting (including dashboards and insights to leadership and clients) Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement mindset
• Ability to balance compliance needs with business agility and efficiency
• Qualifications (describe the qualifications considered essential to do the job, e g , Chartered Accountancy, MBA, etc) Graduate/Post-Graduate Certification(s): ISO Lead Auditor, PMP / PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma (preferred)
• 8 -12 years of experience in Quality Management, PMO, or Operations Excellence, with at least 3- 5 years in a managerial role
• Experience in leading audits, certifications, and enterprise-level projects
• Industry experience in BPO, ITES, BFSI Certification in Life Insurance Domain will be an added advantage
