Job summary

Perfect Group in Ghaziabad is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and control in the sheet metal fabrication line. You will oversee inspections, develop control plans, and drive continuous improvement across processes and products.

The ideal candidate has 8–15 years in quality leadership, hands-on knowledge of GD&T, inspection tools, and customer audits, and will coordinate with Production, Engineering and Purchasing teams.

Qualifications

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in the sheet metal fabrication industry to lead quality assurance and quality control activities. The ideal candidate should have expertise in fabrication processes, inspection, quality systems, process improvement, and customer quality management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities across sheet metal fabrication operations.
• Ensure product quality at all stages, including incoming material inspection, in-process inspection, and final inspection.
• Monitor fabrication processes such as sheet cutting, bending, welding, punching, and assembly.
• Develop and implement quality standards, inspection procedures, and control plans.
• Handle customer complaints, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct internal process audits, product audits, and supplier quality audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer-specific requirements.
• Monitor quality KPIs, rejection rates, rework, scrap, and customer complaints.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve productivity.
• Manage and develop the quality team while coordinating with Production, Engineering, and Purchase departments.
• Maintain quality documentation, inspection reports, and other relevant records.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication quality management.
• Knowledge of welding inspection, dimensional inspection, fabrication drawings, and GD&T.
• Experience with measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Knowledge of quality tools such as 7 QC Tools, 5 Why Analysis, Fishbone Analysis, and FMEA.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, leadership, and team management skills.
• Ability to manage customer audits, quality issues, and corrective actions independently.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: 8-15 years of relevant experience, preferably in a Quality Manager or senior quality leadership role.
• Industry: Candidates must have experience in the sheet metal fabrication industry.
• Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Location: Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
