Job summary

Veerya Attachments seeks a seasoned QA/QC engineer to ensure QMS continuity and adherence to ISO/AWS standards at our Karnataka site. You will drive non-conformance resolution, maintain document controls, and oversee inspections and audits across production lines.

The role requires 3–10 years in heavy fabrication or sheet metals with hands-on CMM and quality-instrument experience; immediate joiners or 10–15 days notice preferred.

Qualifications

• BE / BTech in mechanical engineering with 3–10 years in heavy fabrication or sheet metal industries.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuity of Company QMS in compliance with ISO / AWS / other standards.
• Ensure use of latest revision of all contract documents, contract specifications and engineering references.
• Identify, investigate, resolve and close non-conformities.
• Ensure all inspection & test points are carried out; draft quality policies and procedures.
• Interpret and implement QA standards; perform daily 5S audits.
• Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials to ensure quality.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
• Coordinate on-site audits and manage concession and NCR reports.
• Maintain document management systems and 5S discipline.
• Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure supplier process capability meets requirements.

Role & responsibilities

• Ensuring continuity of Company QMS in compliance with ISO / AWS/ other standards.
• Ensuring use of latest revision of all Contract Documents, Contract Specifications and engineering reference and Standards.
• Identification, investigation resolution and close out of non-conformities.
• Ensuring all inspection & test points are correctly Cary out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan. Draft quality assurance policies and procedures.
• Interpret and implement quality assurance standards. Evaluate adequacy of quality assurance standards. Perform daily audits and 5S audits.
• Create a list of details and checkpoints and set measureable criterias to check the quality on timely basis.
• Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality.
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
• Collect and compile statistical quality data. Handle complete file management of Concession reports and NCR reports. Coordinate and support on-site audits conducted.
• Responsible for document management systems & Ensure maintenance of 5S Discipline.
• Responsible for H.O. Pre-Production Inspection (PPI) & Per Dispatch Inspection (PDI), planning of shifts, allocation of Bucket Serial Number, Review of Inspection Reports, NC Reports etc.
• Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks. Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements.
• Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
• Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member.
• Monitors quality nonconformance at line, Initiates root cause analysis and CAPA for quality issues.
• Create a list of details and checkpoints and set measureable criteria’s to check the quality on timely basis

Preferred candidate profile

• BE / Btech mechanical with minimum 3 - 10 yrs of exp in heavy fabrication or sheet metals industries, quality instruments knowledge and CMM operation knowledge.
• immediate joiners or minimum 10 - 15 days of time to joining.
