Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a seasoned Quality Leader to drive QMS, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, and Product Quality across manufacturing operations. You will lead audits, develop policies, and champion continuous improvement to meet ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards while enhancing customer satisfaction.

You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and R&D, mentor quality teams, implement APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC, and lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 12-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management in manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and related audits.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Lead QMS compliance and audits to ISO standards.
  • Drive Customer Quality and Supplier Quality management and improvements.
  • Support New Product Introduction with APQP/PPAP and risk analyses.
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives; drive waste reduction and cost savings.
  • Mentor quality teams and collaborate with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and R&D.

Job Overview:


As a Quality Leader, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of Quality Management Systems, Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, Product Quality, and Continuous Improvement initiatives. You will drive quality excellence across manufacturing operations, ensure compliance with international standards, enhance customer satisfaction, and support business growth through robust quality processes and operational excellence.


Responsibilities:

Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Lead and maintain Quality Management Systems in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Ensure successful execution of internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards.

Customer Quality Management

  • Drive customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, warranty issues, and quality concerns.
  • Lead root cause analysis using 8D, Why-Why Analysis, Fishbone Diagram, and other problem-solving methodologies.
  • Coordinate with customers to ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.

Supplier Quality Management

  • Develop suppliers through audits, capability assessments, and improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor supplier performance through quality KPIs and supplier scorecards.
  • Drive supplier quality improvement projects and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing Kaizen and Six Sigma initiatives across the plant.
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, process optimization, and cost savings.
  • Foster a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and develop quality teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Conduct quality awareness programs and training sessions for employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and R&D.

New Product Introduction

  • Support product development and launch activities through APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Validation.
  • Ensure quality requirements are incorporated throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • 12-15 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Management within manufacturing industries.
  • Proven experience in Customer Quality, Supplier Quality, and Manufacturing Quality.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, and Problem-Solving Tools.
  • Experience in leading internal and external audits.
  • Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
