Job summary

Kamlesh Kumar Singh Engineers Pvt. Ltd. (KKSEPL) is seeking a Lead QA/QC Engineer for refinery/petrochemical projects.

You will head the site QA/QC and NDT team, ensuring inspections meet ITPs and specifications, and that loop files and test packs are cleared for smooth testing, completion and handover. The role requires 10 years of construction experience (3+ in QA/QC) for degree holders or 13 years (6+ in QA/QC) for diploma holders, with strong ASME/API knowledge.

• Degree holders: 10 years construction exp, with at least 3 years QA/QC.
• Diploma holders: 13 years construction exp, with at least 6 years QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site QA/QC and NDT team (inspectors, welding and piping QC).
• Prepare, get approved and implement ITPs, QCPs and method statements.
• Review and clear loop files / test packs, including visual, NDT, dimensional and hydrotest records.
• Plan and monitor NDT (RT, UT, PT, MPI, PMI, PWHT) and review reports and radiographs.
• Control welding: WPS/PQR, welder qualification, consumables, weld maps and rejection analysis.
• Ensure material traceability: MTC verification, heat and batch numbers, material receipt inspection.
• Track line-wise inspection status and update the QA/QC schedule and progress reports.
• Coordinate client, consultant and third-party inspections.
• Raise and close NCRs and punch items; run internal audits.
• Compile the final documentation, as-built records and handover dossier.
• Support site safety and compliance.

The role

You will own quality at site. You lead the QA/QC team, make sure work is inspected to the approved ITPs and specifications, and are accountable for clearing loop files and test packs so that testing, completion and handover are never held up.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech (or Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgy
• Experience on refinery/petrochemical/O&G piping and mechanical projects
• Minimum experience :
• Degree holders: 10 years construction experience, of which at least 3 years in QA/QC
• Diploma holders: 13 years construction experience, of which at least 6 years in QA/QC
• Working knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME Sec IX, API standards and client specifications
• Proven record of managing teams and getting loop files and documentation cleared
