Job summary

Zodiac HR Consultants seeks a QA/QC Manager for our Goregaon-Mumbai HQ. You will oversee quality assurance & control across all projects, ensuring compliance with project scope and client specs.

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of QA/QC experience in construction of API 650/620 tanks, pipelines and structural works.
• At least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in tank fabrication and pipeline projects.
• Strong time management, planning & organisational skills.
• High attention to details.
• Excellent IT skills and MS Office knowledge.
• Strong English communication; able to explain to client/TPI.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QC documentation for tenders/proposals and assist tendering team.
• Work closely with design, planning and execution teams.
• Prepare Project Inspection Test Plan, Method Statements and QC Procedures according to scope of work and tender documents.
• Prepare WPS, PQR, WQT, project quality plans, QA/QC procedures and liaise with the client for timely approvals.
• Facilitate inspections during procurement and construction, reviewing documentation and supervising welding activities.
• Witness and monitor inspection activities and ensure timely release of external inspection reports.
• Prepare/review NDT and PWHT procedures, Material Certificates and Equipment Test Certificates.
• Coordinate with project site teams, Sub-Contractors & Client Representatives.
• Coordinate with QC Engineers/inspectors at project site.
• Maintain all Quality Related Documents and prepare final dossiers.
• Organize PWHT, NDT and PMI as required.
• Assist in preparation of punch lists and as-built drawings.

QA/QC Manager Job Description

We are looking for a QA/QC Manager to join our team at our HO (Goregaon-Mumbai). As a QA/QC Manager, you will be responsible for overall quality assurance & control related compliances for all projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Preparing the QC documentation for tenders / proposals and assisting the tendering team
• Working closely with the design, planning and execution teams
• Preparation of Project Inspection Test Plan, Method Statements and QC Procedures according to scope of work and tender documents.
• Preparation of WPS, PQR, WQT, project quality plans, QA/QC procedures and liaise with the client for timely approval of the same.
• Facilitate inspections during procurement and construction phase of the project as per requirement not limited to reviewing documentation as per specifications, supervising fit-up, welding consumables, welding process etc.
• Witness and monitor the inspection activities and ensure timely release of external inspection reports.
• Preparation/ review of NDT and PWHT procedures, Material Certificates and Equipment Test Certificates. (FAT)
• Liaise with project site teams, Sub-Contractors & Client Representatives
• Coordinate with the team of QC Engineers/inspectors at project site.
• Maintain all Quality Related Documents and prepare final dossiers of the project.
• Organize and Coordinate for PWHT, NDT and PMI as and when required.
• Assist in preparation of punch list, remarks and red mark up for as built drawing to construction team.
• Witness Paint/holiday test, Pneumatic/ Hydro pressure Test.
• Monitor and witness welding parameters for the processes such as SMAW, GTAW, GMAW & SAW as applicable.
• RT films interpretation and reports review as per project specification and standard.
• Witness pneumatic, hydro test etc. as per the specification and client requirements.
• Witness mechanical testing as applicable (Tensile, Impact, Hardness, Elongation,Chemical (spectro) & micro test).
• Conducting the periodic audits to identify the weaknesses in process and coordinate for corrective actions with process owners for improvement as well as investigations & compliance review

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical.
• Approx 15 years of experience in QA/QC in the field of construction of API 650/620 tanks , pipelines and structural works , with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Prior experience in Tank Fabrication and pipeline projects.
• Complete know how on the Quality aspects and standards relevant for the construction of tanks & pipelines.
• Good time management , planning & Organisational skills.
• Methodological approach with skills to prioritise the work.
• High attention to details
• Excellent IT skills and relevant knowledge of MS Office
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Should be able to work as part of a team.
• Good oral/written communication skills (English language) and ability to explain & convince the client / TPI
