Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India seeks a Quality Inspection professional to verify purchased products at supplier works per Quality Plan and PO references. You will perform dimensional and NDT inspections on castings and forgings and maintain meticulous documentation.

Using bore gauges, micrometers, Vernier and depth gauges, you will ensure geometrical tolerances and coordinate with customers and suppliers to obtain necessary clearances and raise NCRs when deviations occur.

Qualifications

• Sound knowledge of measuring instruments and geometrical tolerances.
• Inspection of precise finished machined components.

Responsibilities

• Verification/inspection of purchased product at supplier works per approved Quality Plan/Drawings & MS with reference to Purchase order.
• Dimensional and NDT inspection of castings & forgings.
• Inspect finished components using measuring instruments and ensure geometrical tolerances.
• Prepare inspection I-forms for various casting, forging and fabricated components.
• Liaison with customer during customer document review/inspection for casting, forging and fabricated components and obtain necessary clearances.
• Raise NCRs for deviations from specified requirements.
• Conduct quality patrol audits at supplier works to identify NCRs and process deviations and take corrective actions.
• Raise customer inspection calls based on customer approved QAP and coordinate with supplier/shop.
• Maintain all project-wise documentation.
• Participation in preparation of Quality Risk Assessment register.
• Evaluation of New Vendors for manufacturing / Machining of outsourced components

• Raise product NCRs wherever deviation is observed against specified requirement.
• Conducting Quality Patrol Audits at Supplier works for identifying potential NCRS and Process deviations and taking corrective actions.
• Raise Customer inspection call based on customer approved QAP & Coordinate with Supplier/shop.
• Maintaining all project wise documentation.
• Participation in preparation of Quality Risk assessment register.
• Evaluation of New Vendors for manufacturing / Machining of outsourced components
