Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering, naval architecture, or related field.
• Experience in hull and structural inspections in marine production is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO and IACS codes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections on hull and structural components, including raw materials, welds, assemblies, and final structures, ensuring adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory codes (such as ISO, IACS standards).
• Monitor welding activities, check for welding defects, and verify adherence to welding procedure specifications (WPS) and qualified welder performance (WPQ).
• Identify recurring quality issues, root causes, and suggest corrective and preventive actions to mitigate defects in hull and structural production.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to quality control activities, particularly for high-risk tasks such as welding and heavy structural handling

Education

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

ASNT level II in RT, UT, MPT and DPT

AWS Certified Welding Inspector or CSWIP
