Job summary

SHELL-N-TUBE (PVT) LTD. in Wai, Maharashtra, is seeking a competent QA/QC Engineer to manage quality activities across the manufacturing of cryogenic equipment.

You will ensure compliance with ASME Sec VIII Div 1, ASME Sec V, ISO CE markings, and project specifications while coordinating inspections and documenting results. The role requires hands-on welding inspection, NDT coordination, and generating QA procedures, test reports, and final quality dossiers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or diploma in mechanical related field with 3-8 years QA/QC experience.
• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and CE requirements relevant to cryogenic equipment.
• Hands-on welding inspection and NDT coordination experience.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage QA/QC activities across manufacturing of cryogenic equipment.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, inspection requirements & customer specs.
• Generate inspection procedures, test reports and Final Quality Dossier.
• Coordinate with third-party inspection agencies and AI ASNT LPT/MPT/UT/RT.

Job Description / Responsibilities

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented QA/QC Engineer to manage all Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities related to the manufacturing of cryogenic equipment. The candidate will ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, inspection requirements, project specifications, and customer expectations throughout the manufacturing cycle.

Key Responsibility

• Quality Engineer familiar with manufacturing of pressure vessel, heat exchanger, boiler, reactors, piping and skid mounted assemblies.
• Competent with inspection of manufacturing activities such as welding, fitting, painting etc.
• Basic knowledge of ASME Sec VIII Div 1, ASME Sec V, ASME Sec IX.
• Basic knowledge of ISO codes and CE marking is an added advantage.
• Competent with generating inspection procedures.
• Competent in generating test reports.
• Coordination with third-party inspection agencies.
• Familiar with ASNT Level II for LPT, MPT, UT, RT
• Competent with Material Inward Inspection and recording of Material Receiving Inspection Report.
• Competent with generating QAP, Weld NDE plan & Weld map.
• Competent with making Stage Inspection Reports.
• Competent with coordination with Third Party Inspection Agencies for inspection visits.
• Competent with generating Final Quality Dossier.
• Familiar with preparation and revalidation of WPS, PQR & WPQ.

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems and inspection methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 - 8 years of relevant experience in QA/QC activities within manufacturing industries, preferably in cryogenic equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, or skid-mounted assemblies.
• ASNT Level II certification in NDT methods (LPT, MPT, UT, RT) will be preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME, ISO, and CE requirements.
