Quality Engineer

Job summary

Piovan India seeks a Quality Assurance professional to drive project-level QA plans and inspection activities across petrochemical and process installations.

You will review drawings, specifications, and vendor documents, and coordinate both factory and site inspections to ensure stringent quality standards are met. NDT proficiency is required, with ASNT Level II preferred; Level III a plus.

Qualifications

• Candidate must have ASNT Level II in one or more NDT methods.
• Experience reviewing welding inspection records and material test certificates.
• Experience in inspecting heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, and skid-mounted assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP), ITPs, and quality procedures.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and vendor documents.
• Conduct supplier quality inspections and monitor manufacturing quality.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, and customer inspections.
• Manage NCRs, root cause analysis, CAPA, and quality improvements.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, customer standards, and project requirements.
• Perform site quality inspections during installation and commissioning activities.
• Maintain project quality documentation, test records, and final handover dossiers.
• Interface with customers such as Reliance and other petrochemical/process industry clients on quality-related matters.

• .Ability to review and interpret NDT reports, welding inspection records, and material test certificates
• .Experience in inspection of heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping systems, fabricated equipment, and skid-mounted assemblies
• .ASNT Level III certification will be an added advantage
