Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking a seasoned QA/QC professional at our Sri City, Andhra Pradesh facility to lead quality control activities for pressure vessels, boilers and fabrication projects.

You will implement QAPs, perform shop inspections, coordinate with subcontractors and third-party inspectors, and ensure adherence to WPS/PQRs throughout production. The ideal candidate holds a BE in Mechanical with 10–12 years of QA/QC experience and ASNT Level II certification, plus strong

Qualifications

• BE (Mechanical) with 10–12 years in QA/QC for pressure vessels, boiler or fabrication.
• ASNT level II certification with knowledge of NDT techniques.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Implements relevant project quality control plan / inspection and test plans.
• Carrying out shop inspections as per approved QAP
• Inspects inward, stage and final materials and releases product.
• Carrying inspection and surveillance visits on sub-contractors.
• Preparing inspection reports / quality records.
• Co-ordination with third party inspection agencies
• Assist establishment of WPS/PQRs and approvals
• Witnesses critical welding and qualification activities
• Ensure welding follows WPS/PQR with qualified welders
• Witness tests at external labs
• Monitor quality parameters and deviations
• Report non-conformances and assist corrective actions
• Review/test records and authorize for subcontractors
• Review material and calibration certificates
• Document procured materials and components
• Prepare MDR on completion of each product
• Liaise with production, planning and materials

Your Experience Should Be...

BE (Mechanical) with 10 to 12 years of Experience in QA/QC functions in Pressure Vessels, Boiler or fabrication industry.

ASNT level II certified with good knowledge of NDT techniques.

Should have very good communication & negotiation skill

What Will You Do?

• Implements relevant project quality control plan / inspection and test plans.
• Carrying out shop inspections as per approved QAP
• Conducts inward material / stage / final inspection and releases the product for the further processing.
• Carrying inspection and surveillance visits on sub-contractors.
• Preparing inspection reports / quality records.
• Co-ordination with third party inspection agencies
• Preparation and assisting for establishment of WPS/PQR’s and its approvals
• Witnesses critical activities and processes such as procedure qualification, welder / Operator qualification, production welding etc.
• Ensuring all welding activities are in accordance with approved WPS/PQR and welding is carried out with qualified welding personnel’s
• Witnessing the tests at external testing labs and agencies Premises
• Monitor quality parameters and controls any deviation from the requirements
• Reports non-conformance’s and assists in implementing corrective actions
• Reviews inspection and test records and authorizes them for Sub-Contractors and vendors.
• Reviews material certificates, calibration certificates and all other applicable
• Documentation of a procured product (Raw materials, bought out components, testing equipments etc)
• Preparation of manufacturing Data Reports(MDR) on completion each product/project .
• Liaison with production, planning and Materials departments
