Rexel India seeks a Quality Assurance professional to oversee inspection and testing of electrical and automation components for panel manufacturing. You will ensure conformance to BOMs, drawings, and IEC standards, while coordinating FAT activities with customers and driving CAPA actions.

The role requires a Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation with 3–8 years of experience in PLC, MCC, PCC, VFD, SCADA, or related automation control panels.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering with 3-8 years experience in PLC, MCC, PCC, VFD, SCADA, or Industrial Automation Control Panel manufacturing and testing.

Aufgaben

• Ensure compliance of incoming electrical and automation components through inspection against BOMs, specs, and quality standards.
• Execute in-process quality inspections during panel fabrication, assembly, wiring, and integration to ensure adherence to drawings and procedures.
• Verify workmanship including mounting, cable routing, ferruling, labeling, terminal dressing, and earthing arrangements per best practices.
• Review conformity of panel assemblies with customer specs, contractual requirements, IEC standards, and internal QA systems.
• Conduct and document pre-dispatch inspections and testing: continuity, insulation, functional verification, I/O checks, interlock validation.
• Lead and support FAT activities with customers, closing punch points and obtaining acceptance before dispatch.
• Prepare, maintain, and control QA documentation: inspection reports, test certificates, NCRs, quality records, and dossiers.
• Investigate deviations, perform root cause analysis, and drive CAPA actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project teams to resolve quality concerns and improve reliability.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring KPIs, reducing rework/defects, and promoting a culture of quality.

Job Description

1. Ensure compliance of incoming electrical and automation components through systematic inspection against approved BOMs, technical specifications, and quality standards.


2. Execute in-process quality inspections during panel fabrication, assembly, wiring, and integration activities to ensure adherence to approved engineering drawings and manufacturing procedures.


3. Verify electrical and mechanical workmanship including component mounting, cable routing, ferruling, labeling, terminal dressing, and earthing arrangements in accordance with industry best practices.


4. Review and ensure conformity of control panel assemblies with customer specifications, contractual requirements, IEC standards, and internal quality management systems.


5. Conduct and document pre-dispatch inspections and testing, including continuity, insulation resistance, functional verification, I/O checks, and interlock validation.


6. Lead and support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities with customers, ensuring timely closure of punch points and successful acceptance of systems prior to dispatch.


7. Prepare, maintain, and control quality documentation, including inspection reports, test certificates, NCRs, quality records, and project-specific compliance dossiers.


8. Investigate quality deviations and non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and drive effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.


9. Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project teams to resolve quality concerns and enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.


10. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring quality KPIs, reducing rework and defects, improving first-pass yield, and promoting a culture of quality within the organization.
